Accomodations

Wi-Fi?

The Aspen Inn is in a very rural location with limited services. We do not have television, however, we do have free, reliable WI-FI, with an option to upgrade to an ultra-broadband service that allows for streaming.

Cooking?

Cooking is not allowed in the rooms, suites or cabins EXCEPT by microwave. We do have a very nice gas bbq grill with an additional burner for a pot or pan. The grill is located on the cooking patio and is available for guest use until 10:00 p.m.

Television?

The Aspen Inn is in a very rural location with limited services. We do not have television, however, we do have free, reliable WI-FI, with an option to upgrade to an ultra-broadband service that allows for streaming.

Air Conditionaing/Heating?

Like most folks out here, we do not have air conditioning. In the summertime, the daytime temps can reach into the mid nineties. However, the night-time temps will drop down into the low fifties to low sixties. Each accommodation has at least a couple of fans, and there are good screens on the windows. Around here we enjoy cool nights, sleeping with the fans on and the windows open, listening to the sounds of the country. As for heat…we’ve got you covered! Each room has efficient electric heaters to keep you warm and toasty on those cold nights.

Check-in/Check-out times?

Hours for check-in begin at 2:00 p.m. and end at 10:00 p.m. There is no check-in after 10:00 p.m. Check-out is no later than 10:00 a.m.

Breakfast?

We are not licensed to provide breakfast. However, we do offer complimentary hot beverages (coffee, tea, cocoa and cider) from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Pets?

The Aspen Inn is very dog friendly. There is a non-refundable $20/dog pet fee. See the Aspen Inn’s Dog Rules web page under our Rates and Policies section.

Also, see our “Dog Rules” web page.

Smoking?

All accommodations are non-smoking. Per Oregon statutes, smoking is prohibited within 10 feet of all public buildings, and discarding cigarettes on the ground is considered offensive littering. These statutes also apply to the use of medical and recreational marijuana. Guests are welcome to smoke in areas away from accommodations and we ask that you respectfully dispose of cigarette butts safely and properly.

Local Services

Weather?

Let’s put it this way…In this neck of the Oregon woods, it’s a good idea to be prepared for the possibility of any type of weather.

See our “weather widget” at the bottom of each web page, in the footer for a general idea of what the current weather is like.

Food?

Depending on the time of the year you visit Crater Lake, there are from 1 to 3 options. In Fort Klamath (where we are located) there is a camper store and organic deli & grocery. In Chiloquin (12 miles southeast of the Aspen Inn) there are a few different restaurants and two local grocery stores.

Gas?

Between late May and early October, regular gasoline is available in Crater Lake National Park at Mazama Village. Locally, the Crater Lake Junction Travel Center is open 24/7 and is just 14 miles southeast of the Aspen Inn.

Local Activities?

We’ve got all that available in our area. Check out the link on the home-page for” Things to see and do near Crater Lake”.
